Baptist Health Care Foundation Receives Donation for Mammogram Fund

PENSACOLA, Fla. (April 7, 2017) – The Pink Pirates of Navarre presented a check for $13,300 to the Baptist Health Care (BHC) Foundation’s Mammogram Fund.

The Mammogram Fund helps provide mammograms to qualified women who are not financially able to get one on their own.

“This contribution will allow us to impact our community in an even greater way,” says KC Gartman, executive director, Baptist Health Care Foundation. “Early detection is key and Baptist is honored to be able to provide this service at no cost thanks to the generosity of our community.”

According to the National Cancer Institute, more than 240,000 new cases of breast cancer were projected to be diagnosed this year alone. While there is no cure for breast cancer, early detection enables early treatment and increases survival chances.
