Meet Your Provider

What led you to choose your focus of medicine?
I have known that I wanted to be in health care since I was 12 years old. Originally, my goal was to become a nurse and after working in the field I knew that I wanted to go further to pursue my Nurse Practitioner degree. Helping people achieve their health goals has always been my ambition.

What about your line of work do you find most rewarding and why? 
I find that thoroughly educating my patients on their health problems and encouraging ways to better themselves is most rewarding. Tailoring health care goals to specific patients is important because what works for some people may not work for all.

What is something about you that only your patients would know?
My patients know that when I walk into the exam room my full attention is on them and their needs for that day. I see patients at some of the most vulnerable times in their life. It is essential that their needs are put above everything else.

How would a patient describe you?
I hope that my patients would describe me as caring and thorough.                          

In your opinion, what’s the most important factor in a provider-patient relationship?
The most important factor, in my opinion, would be trust. An open line of communication is necessary in this type of relationship, and I want my patients to feel that they can discuss any matter with me and that it will remain confidential.

What can a patient expect when they have you as a provider?
The patient can expect me to be punctual and very honest in handling their care.  

Do you have any specific medical interests?
Family medicine interests me most because I am able to care for patients of all ages.
