Meet Your Provider

What led you to become a nurse practitioner or choose your focus of medicine?
I began taking nursing classes in high school and enjoyed it so much that I decided to continue in this field. Once I got my first job in nursing, I knew that I wanted to become a nurse practitioner to help improve the health and wellness of my community.

What about your line of work do you find most rewarding and why?
The most rewarding parts of being a provider of family medicine are the relationships developed with patients and being a part of their journey through life.

What is something about you that only your patients would know?
My patients know that I will go above and beyond, advocating to help them in any way that I can.

How would a patient describe you?
A patient would describe me as compassionate, honest and a good communicator.

What’s your proudest moment as a provider?
My proudest moments as a provider are seeing my patients achieve their health and/or personal goals.

In your opinion, what’s the most important factor in a provider-patient relationship?
The two most important factors in a relationship are communication and trust.

What can a patient expect when they have you as a provider?
A patient can expect me to listen, as well as address their concerns and provide high quality care.

What do you find most encouraging about the work you do?
The most encouraging part of my work is the opportunity to educate my patients and provide them with the knowledge and skills to best care for themselves.

What are your top priorities with every patient you see?
My top priorities with patients are to make certain their voices are heard and provide safe care.

Describe one of the top ways you ensure each patient receives the quality, personal health care they deserve.
One of the top ways to ensure patients receive the best care is by treating them holistically, paying attention to all aspects of the person.

Is there anything more or extra you would like prospective patients to know about you?
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time at the beach and with my friends and family. Also, I would love the opportunity to take care of you and your family.

Do you have any specific medical interests?
My medical interests are in preventative medicine, cardiology and women’s health.
