What led you to become a doctor or choose your focus of medicine?
I knew I wanted to be a physician when I saw a physician help deliver a baby on a show that I accidentally landed on while flipping through channels at 8 years old. As a second-year medical student, I went on a medical mission trip that sparked my interest in treating patients of all ages – that led me to family medicine.
What about your line of work do you find most rewarding and why?
The most rewarding aspect of medicine is accurate diagnosing and treating patients so that they can reach their health goals and have a more qualified life.
In your opinion, what’s the most important factor in a doctor-patient relationship?
The most important factor in a doctor-patient relationship is trust.
What are your top priorities with every patient you see?
My top priorities with every patient that I see are to establish a doctor-patient relationship and accurately diagnose and treat every patient.
Describe one of the top ways you ensure each patient receives the quality, personal health care they deserve.
To ensure each patient receives the quality, personal health care that they deserve, I strive to continuously read, study and practice up-to-date medical practices.
Do you have any specific medical interests?
Currently, I am very interested in bariatric medicine and women’s health.
