Baptist Health Care Names Christine Gray Johnson VP of Human Resources, Chief Human Resources Officer

Baptist Health Care has named Christine Gray Johnson vice president of human resources and chief human resources officer.

Johnson earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Fla. She is certified as a Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty and Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Johnson comes to Baptist Health Care after 27 years of service with Baptist Health in Jacksonville, Florida where she most recently served as system vice president. She was responsible for human resources support for acute care, nursing and emergency service lines, employee engagement, talent acquisition, DEI and employee health for that organization’s 12,000 team members. She established its inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and its overall DEI strategies. Johnson will have similar responsibilities at Baptist Health Care in Pensacola.
