Baptist Health Care Welcomes New Lab Director


Baptist Health Care (BHC) welcomes George Deratany, M.A., MT(ASCP), CHC, CHPC, as the organization’s new corporate director of lab.

Deratany earned a Bachelor of Science in medical technology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, and a Master of Arts in health care administration from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan. He holds several professional certifications and is a member of the American Society of Pathologists, American College of Health Care Executives and others.

Deratany brings more than 20 years of experience in all areas of laboratory testing, operations, compliance, privacy and quality assurance to his new role at BHC.
