Baptist Medical Group rheumatologist Katherine Abella, M.D., has earned board certification in rheumatology from the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Board certification requires extensive specialty-specific training and the passing of an exam that assesses a physician’s skill and knowledge of the specialty.

Dr. Abella earned her medical degree at Ross University in Dominica, West Indies, completed her residency at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and completed a fellowship at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. 

Dr. Abella has both the certification and experience to provide specialty rheumatologic care for adult patients. Baptist Medical Group – Rheumatology is located at 1717 North E Street, Suite 425 in Pensacola.
