What led you to choose your focus of medicine?
I wanted to further advance my education to be able to serve my community with a deeper understanding and focus.
What about your line of work do you find most rewarding and why?
Being able to build a special rapport with my patients.
What is something about you that only your patients would know?
I am compassionate, easy to talk to and down-to-earth.
What’s your proudest moment as a provider?
Being able to help someone in their time of need and comfort them when they need it the most.
In your opinion, what’s the most important factor in a provider-patient relationship?
Open communication and an understanding of advocacy.
What can a patient expect when they have you as a provider?
I will listen, offer advice and point them in the direction of the latest evidence-based practice guidelines for their plan of care.
What do you find most encouraging about the work you do?
That there is a possibility of remission (oncology) or that I can hopefully see them through the hardest fight of their lives.
What are your top priorities with every patient you see?
To administer the highest quality care available to each patient.
Describe one of the top ways you ensure each patient receives the quality, personal health care they deserve.
Even if I know what the diagnosis and best treatment is, I still take the time to reassure my treatment plan with the latest evidence-based research. This ensures that I am not missing any minor details when I treat my patients.
