Pastoral Services Team

Jessica Evans, M.Div., is the director for pastoral services and clinical pastoral educator (ACPE). She conducts all of the hospital based clinical pastoral education units. Jessica attended Centre College for her undergraduate studies and continued on to Duke University Divinity School. She began her journey for certification as a clinical pastoral educator (ACPE) in 2005 in Colorado and became an ordained American Baptist pastor. Before joining the Baptist Health Care team, Jessica served as corporate director of CPE for Centura Health Systems CPE center and was manager of spiritual care and CPE for a large spiritual care team at Penrose-St. Frances in Colorado Springs. Jessica is an APC board-certified chaplain.

Donald W. Winslett Ed.D, Dr. Winslett retired from Baptist as the director of clinical pastoral education (CPE) in 2016 and continues as the educator for all community based CPE programs for local clergy. Through his Center for Clergy Care and Baptist Health Care, Don focuses on educating the clergy community through various educational conferences and lectures. He is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. His Master of Divinity degree was earned at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and his Doctorate in Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Winslett has served as an educator of clinical pastoral education at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida since 1992. Dr. Winslett is also a state of Florida licensed psychologist and licensed marriage and family therapist.

Ruth Ward is the Office Coordinator for the Pastoral Services department. Ruth has been a team member of Baptist Hospital since 1991, working in the Corporate Administration office and with Properties Management. She came to Pastoral Services in 1998.
