Services and Treatments at Baptist
Telestroke

Telestroke, allows an off-site neurologist to communicate through real-time video with a possible stroke patient. Timely care is critical to the successful recovery of someone suffering a stroke. Because a neurologist is not always on site, telestroke ensures that patients have access to a specialist when they need it, so the time from diagnosis to treatment is fast.
Baptist Health Care provides telestroke to patients at Baptist and Gulf Breeze hospitals. Through telestroke, a Mayo Clinic neurologist is at hand 24/7 to help diagnose and recommend treatment.
Telestroke is one way Baptist brings critical care to patients when they need it most.
