Brittany White, a patient care technician at Baptist Medical Group – ENT & Audiology, loves her work family and forming bonds with patients she helps. She joined Baptist and the ENT team in October of 2022.

In her role, she performs a variety of duties. Some tasks include shadowing the physicians, cleaning and stocking rooms, confirming patient information, scheduling follow-up patient appointments, assisting with office procedures, cleaning and processing scopes and ensuring the team has all they need throughout the day.

Brittany finds her work family welcoming and eager to help others.

“The love and compassion I feel when I walk through the door each day is very heartwarming,” Brittany said. “I always look forward to coming in to work to start another day.”

Brittany identifies with the Baptist values and culture.

“I have always had a passion for helping others, and Baptist is all about putting patients first and lending a helping hand,” Brittany said. “My personal goals line up with the mission and culture at Baptist — helping people throughout life’s journey — and especially those who may be unable to help themselves. Our values remind me why I do what I do. I take ownership and show compassion daily in my role. Even if I’m having a rough day, I know the patients in front of me are my priority, and I shift my focus to ensure they have the best experience with us.”

Brittany strives to make patients feel welcome and less nervous and stressed about being inside a doctor’s office. She repeatedly says how wonderful her team is, her “work family” that surrounds her, calling them “the BEST” and saying she is forever grateful to the group for the person she is today.

Her team thinks the world of Brittany too.

Here’s what one team member wrote about her, nominating her for a WOW! Award:
“Brittany is always so helpful when it comes to patient appointments after referrals have been sent over. She goes above and beyond to assist in any way she can. I am so thankful to have a connection with someone like her.”

With some encouragement from the team, Brittany is further pursuing her education.

“I’m taking prerequisite courses now for the registered nursing program,” Brittany said. “I’m excited to pursue my dream of being an R.N.”

Brittany is using opportunities through Baptist Life Long Learning (LLL) to attain her degree. LLL is a program that offers career growth and development through tuition reimbursement.

Brittany is empowered to improve processes in her role. Her added encouragement and critiquing, with help from others, made the process smoother for everyone.

When Brittany isn’t with her work family, she enjoys being surrounded by her own big family. She looks forward to spending the holidays with her mother, four siblings, her boyfriend and his family. In her spare time, she reads and watches movies. Her motto is to always show kindness because it can go a long way.

Brittany, thank you for all you do for your team, for patients and for our community! You help make Baptist better.
